If you haven’t played laser tag since that lock-in in middle school, you should try it in Austin. Sure, these places come with the way-too-hardcore kids and the obnoxious middle school tools, but you get to shoot them with a fake gun.

Blazer Tag is Austin’s only center devoted mostly to laser tag and they offer some really cheap ways to play.

Monday nights, their 8 p.m. game is $1 to play and Fridays and Saturdays 10p.m. on, games are $5.85 each rather than $7.90. And this one’s not guaranteed, but I went on their last game Friday night at 11 p.m. and the employee gave our whole group Red Bulls for free.

The arena itself has two levels, the standard fog and techno music and added counters on the wall that you can shoot to get specials like rapid fire.
