Pizza for two
Bicycling around Austin has allowed me to discover so many things, from where the Austin Carriage Service gears up their horses to the restaurant Jacob and I discovered yesterday.
Frank and Angie’s pizzeria is located on 5th and West, but it’s more out of the way than the nearby Hut’s Hamburgers, owned by the same company. That explains why all the employees wear Hut’s shirts. It’s a small, cozy Italian restaurant with pasta, delicious calzones and huge pizzas. Sunday and Tuesday are especially worth going for their two for one specials.
Restaurants always offer lunch specials, but I rarely see dinner specials, for when people actually go out to eat. Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. they have two 10″ pepperoni pizzas for $8.25 and Sunday it’s two spaghetti dishes for $6.95. Our bill last night was $7 for two people and a great meal in from the cold.

This bike riding is apparently a productive activity. Can I commission you to ride around Crowley and find me some place nice to go eat dinner?
